This is one of the oldest quintets around, and was formed in 1961 under a grant. Today it is a leader in performing quintet music. The ensemble has toured the United States every year since 1961, and through extensive promotion and performance efforts, they are trying to expand the repertoire for the quintet setting. They have worked with numerous contemporary composers to get works written for the ensemble. Their sound is very beautiful and well balanced. If you love relaxing modern music, this is the CD for you! The total running time of this CD is sixty-three minutes.
